Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has call on his players to use Emirate FA Cup defeat as a form of motivation for the last two premier league match.
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has stated that he wants his side to use FA Cup defeat as a stepping stone.
Tuchel admits that his players are strong mentally and will not lack concentration towards upcoming games.
Chelsea will face FA Cup winner Leicester in the Premier league on Tuesday as they hope to seal the top 4 spot.
Tuchel while speaking with the media stated that: “This is a strong group.”
“There is no reason to doubt these players, who have done so well to get into the top four from 10th place, to reach the FA Cup final and to be in the final of the Champions League.
“We are strong enough to handles these situations and these are the challenges that we face. It’s not easy, but it is fun, and there are a lot of teams chasing us and our situation.”
The Manager further spoke on his key player Mason Mount as he has been a key factor in the Chelsea team recently and even came close to scoring in the final.
“We tried to give Mason a little break recently because he gave a lot in the Real Madrid games and he has been so decisive for us,” said Tuchel.
“We didn’t have much time between those games and the [Manchester] City match, particularly when you factor in the travel, but we wanted him to rest to conserve his energy and his form.”
