Solskjaer face selection problem ahead of Europa League final against Villarreal.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer is curious on which player will be paired together against Villarreal in the final.
The Reds will play the Spanish side in the Europa League final and United his having the selection dilemma ahead of the final.
United skipper remains a doubt for the final as he has been ruled out due to the injury he sustained in the just concluded Premier League.
As a matter of fact Solskjaer has the former Villarreal defender Eric Bailey at his possession and also academy graduate Axal Tuanzebe.
Speaking about the Skipper (Harry Maguire) Solskjaer stated that he will have to wait if the England international will be fit enough to play.
“I’ll wait for Wednesday,” stressed the manager. “Maybe see if he can run on Tuesday. He’s a bit away so I don’t expect him to be ready, no. Of course, Harry wants to play.
“It’s going to be up to the doctor to say how he is. As I’ve said, I don’t expect him to be ready. But I’m forever an optimist and still hopeful.
“He has to train on Tuesday when we’re over there. So it’s not many days. I don’t expect him to be ready.”
Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood were rested on the last game of the Premier League against Wolves.
The two English players have done well for the Reds and it remains a question of who will start in the final.
The Norwegian has always the deployed Paul Pogba on the left wing a favourite position for Rashford.
When asked about if he had issues regarding the two English player, he said, “Yeah, you might say so. Both of them have done really well but we’ll see.
“We’ll pick a team that I think will make problems for Villarreal but, luckily, I could rest both of them today. They’ll both be knocking on my door [laughs].”
