Mason Mount short of words as Chelsea becomes Champions of Europe as he thanks staff and family for the support.
Chelsea forward Mason Mount is surprised with the win against Manchester City in the Champions League.
The Blues player has been impressive since he moved from Derby to the Stamford bridge side.
Mount, who could express himself after the victory against City that he has always dreamt of this since he was a kid.
The academy product stated that he was disappointed losing the FA Cup to Leicester but claims they are the best in the world now.
“I can’t put it into words, it’s impossible,” he said. “I played in two finals for Chelsea and we’ve lost them both in the FA Cup and the way that hurt after the game.
“I’ve dreamt as a kid of going all the way, making the final and winning it, lifting the trophy. That’s what I’m all about and what this club’s all about.
“I know it inside and out, I’ve been there as a kid and now to go all the way in the Champions League, with some tough games against top teams, it’s such a special occasion.
“At this moment in time, we’re the best team in the world and you can’t take that away from us!”
Mount on hthe support he got.
The England international praised the staffs of the club for the hard work and also his family for the support they gave to him.
“It’s not just the players, we’ve got staff here too,” he added. “Joe Edwards has come through and loads of staff have come through alongside us players. What it means to us is unbelievable.
“My dad has just come down from the stands and I burst into tears seeing him. It’s a long journey to get to this moment here so to my family I thank them for everything, they’ve given me everything and now these are the rewards.”
