James Harden requires six negative COVID-19 tests before being cleared
Houston Rockets star James Harden will need to register six negative COVID-19 tests before returning to group workouts per NBA protocols, according to Shams Charania.
Harden finally arrived in Houston on Dec. 8.
If Harden continues to test negative, he would be cleared to practice with the Rockets on Dec. 14, notes ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.
The NBA required players to test negative for COVID-19 for three consecutive days before entering team facilities for individual workouts before training camp.
However, Harden was subject to a longer testing period, as he violated league policies by attending parties and clubs in Atlanta and Las Vegas without wearing a mask.
Harden could make his preseason debut on Dec. 15, but despite being back, it still remains up in the air if he will stay with the Rockets.
