CSKA Moscow extends winning streak to nine games to remain on top – EuroLeague Round 14: Results and Highlights
CSKA Moscow crushed Anadolu Efes at home (100-65) and claimed its ninth straight EuroLeague victory to remain on top (11-3).
The Muscovites led from start to finish and handed Anadolu Efes its second straight loss. The Turks now are at 7-7.
In Istanbul, Armani Milano returned to the winning track after rallying past Fenerbahce (71-79). The Italians outscored the Turks 23-42 between the second and the third quarter and sealed the deal.
Armani now is at 8-5, whereas Fenerbahce lost for the sixth time in the last seven EuroLeague games and dropped to 5-9.
ALBA Berlin came back from a 14-point deficit early in the game and defeated Crvena Zvezda on the road in overtime (84-90).
The Germans have now won four straight games and are at 6-7. Meanwhile, the Serbians have lost five EuroLeague games in a row and now have a 5-10 record.
In Kaunas, a 26-11 run in the third quarter was enough for Zalgiris to decimate Baskonia (92-73) and snap a five-game home losing streak in the EuroLeague.
The Lithuanians improved to 7-7, whereas the Basques dropped to 6-7.
Real Madrid survived a double overtime thriller in Athens and earned the 93-97 victory over Panathinaikos.
This was the 11th straight win for the “Whites” over the “Greens”, who also lost their second straight at home.
Real improved to 9-5, after its third consecutive EuroLeague victory. For their part, Panathinaikos now are at 4-9.
