When asked about the starting lineup on opening night, Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers responded playfully about who it will be.
He was asked if the lineup will consist of Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Danny Green, Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid.
“You can make that assumption, but it doesn’t mean it won’t change. But it sounds like a good lineup. I may use that,” Rivers said.
Curry, who was acquired in a draft night trade with the Dallas Mavericks, recently mentioned that he has been getting a lot of run alongside Simmons and Embiid, which confirms that he will be a starter on opening night.
The 76ers needed to add three-point shooting in the offseason and they addressed those needs in acquiring players like Curry and Green.
