Frank Vogel says Talen Horton-Tucker’s performances could make his job tough
In a good way, the Los Angeles Lakers’ head coach Frank Vogel may be facing a huge problem ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
After another impressive preseason performance, Talen Horton-Tucker could be on his way to secure his place in the Lakers’ rotational system.
“We have a very deep team. No minutes are guaranteed. If he keeps playing at a high level, that should push everyone else to play at a high level,” Vogel said, per Mike Trudell.
The former second round draft pick played 41 minutes in preseason game versus the Clippers to put up 33 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lakers seem to have the ability to cover for any absences, if necessary, and in a shortened season having a deep bench it’s a good quality.
