In 2007, Jared Dudley was drafted by the Charlotte Bobcats as their 22nd overall pick. The franchise is owned by Michael Jordan and is now called the Hornets. MJ happened to be at Jared’s exit meeting that season and the rookie had a question for the legend.
Dudley asked Mike to call him when he stopped in Vegas so they could go out, but he left feeling brushed off. Although, one late summer night he received a phone call from a Chicago area code. Dudley was with his then-girlfriend, now wife who had questions. However, he knew chances like these don’t come around often.
