Jurgen Klopp admit his frustration after 1-0 defeat from Southampton.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says it is frustrating after his side was beaten 1-0 by Southampton in last night premier league clash as the early goal by Danny Ings secured the win for the Saint.
Jurgen Klopp side boss acknowledge how frustrating he is after his side was unable to find the back of the net in the game.
When asked how frustrating the game was Klopp said, “Very frustrating, just because it’s so unnecessary but it still happens. We had a bad start in the game, we played completely into Southampton’s hands and gave the game away, we have to admit now, in the first few minutes because after that we were not calm enough to create the opportunities to turn it around.”
“The first half was massively influenced by the start, but with the break it meant we could settle it a little bit. Then we were dominant in the right areas, had the moments but then the decision-making was not that good. The last pass, we missed the last pass.”
Liverpool have failed to get a win in three consecutive premier league and also failed to score a goal in their last game against Newcastle and the Reds boss as stated that its one of the problems of football and they are working to solve the problem.
“Of course, we worry about it. These are our problems. Football-wise, you don’t have a lot of different problems – it’s like you defend bad or we attack not as good as we can or we create not enough. They are football problems; yes, we are worried about that but football problems you solve with football and that’s what we are working on. We know about the situation, we are not silly, and we have to show a reaction, 100 per cent.”
Klopp didn’t hold back his praise for the Saint as he stated that they deserve the win they got.
“Definitely, definitely. Look, nothing should be taken away, 100 per cent. Southampton deserved it, they fought, they ran their socks off with all they had. They missed a lot of players and did really, really, really well and that’s clear. But I am mostly concerned about our game and I didn’t like that too much.”
Liverpool remains on top of the league with 33 points and they will travel to play Aston Villa in the FA cup third round and after host Manchester United in the Premier League.
