Jesse Lingard felt disappointed after gifting Young Boys last minutes goal.

Manchester United player Jesse Lingard has revealed his regret on an Instagram post after defeat against Young Boys.

The England international gifted the ball away in the stoppage time of the match to hand over a win to the Young boys in the Champions League.

Lingard, who replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in the second half of the game felt bad for the silly mistake he did.

On his Instagram post Lingard wrote: “Everytime I pull on the United shirt, I hope people understand what it means to me. I always go out wanting to do the best for the club, the team and especially the fans.

“I’m upset for my part in the defeat. I never want to lose any game but mistakes happen in football and we now push on together. We will all pick ourselves up and I can’t wait for Sunday.”

Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba supported their team mate and back he after the defeat.

“We lost together and we win together,” the Portugal international said.

“The true measure of success it’s how many time you can bounce back from failure,” Pogba wrote.
