Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is set to return to the squad for their upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves after engaging in clear-the-air talks with manager Erik ten Hag.

The discussions, involving football director John Murtough and Rashford’s brother and agent, Dwaine, were prompted by Rashford’s recent visit to a Belfast nightclub.

Following a meeting at Carrington on Monday, Rashford explained the nature and timing of his trip. The club initially believed he visited on Wednesday night, a scheduled day off, but reports suggest he was there on Thursday night before citing illness to miss training on Friday. The internal disciplinary matter has been resolved, with Rashford taking responsibility for his actions.

This incident is not the first time Rashford has faced disciplinary issues under Ten Hag’s management. Previously, he attended a birthday party in a Manchester nightclub after a defeat to Manchester City, resulting in an apology and branding of the incident as “unacceptable.” Last season, Rashford was dropped for a game at Wolves after arriving late for a team meeting.

Despite these off-field challenges, Rashford trained as usual on Monday and is expected to be available for selection against Wolves.

The 26-year-old has struggled for form this season, scoring only four times in 26 appearances. Additionally, he was benched for games in December after a subpar performance against Newcastle United. United fans will be eager to see how Rashford responds on the pitch in the upcoming fixture.
