Former Real Madrid player Clearance Seedorf has stated that the team needs to show character in the Champions League against Manchester City.
Real Madrid will host Manchester City in the return leg of the competition after a 4-3 defeat at Etihad stadium.
Seedorf believes the team is at an important stage in the competition and few steps away from the Champions League final.
“The team is now at an important and special stage”, Seedorf said. in the semi-finals and a step away from the final. Real Madrid have to perform like a Real Madrid team. What I mean by that is that they must show the character that the club always has done in Champions League games. That’s what they need to do and more so than ever against a strong side in Manchester City.
“We’re so used to getting to these important stages of the season and we’ve got to use all of that experience and the desire to reach the final. There’s no doubt that Real Madrid are the best club in the world. There’s got to be something very special there when you manage to lift 13 European Cups”.
Real Madrid are now Champions of the La Liga and Seedorf have commend the hard work of the manager Carlo Ancelotti.

It gives me great joy to be able to see everyone celebrating in the street like that and let’s hope that it’s a sign of things to come, although the pandemic isn’t completely over yet.
“Carlo Ancelotti has done a great job and the team has responded really well and has worked hard. The one thing that I’ve liked most is the character they’ve shown. The team has always managed to produce a reaction when they’ve needed to and that’s down to the group that has been assembled here”.
