Wolverhampton defender Nelson Semedo states that players are working hard to turn things around for the team after admitting the winless run is becoming a concern.
The ddefeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday saw Wolves still searching for their first top-flight win of 2021, and the wing-back – who was switched from the right to the left due to the injuries to Jonny, Marcal and Rayan Ait-Nouri – states that the team need to start picking up maximum points so they are not dragged towards the relegation zone.
“Today I played on the left side and it’s not normal for me, but we have to be able to play on both sides, and I will try to improve and to be better for the next time.
“We went at them in the second-half and when they scored, it was when we had the ball, and we tried to attack, but Crystal Palace were able to score.
“It was difficult for us to get in their area, we had the ball, but we were not creating enough dangers for them.”
When asked if lack of win is a worry for them, the Portuguese said: “Of course, because we work to try to win in every match, but it’s difficult. We’ll work hard to try to make points.
“We try to think of the next game, so before this game we were only thinking about Crystal Palace.
“But we have to pay attention to the table because we only have 10 points over Fulham who are third from bottom, so we have to pay attention to that and try to make points and get some distance from that area.”
