Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given an update on the injury of his centre back and midfielder, the Brazilian midfielder was not included in the squad for Thursday’s encounter at Tottenham Hotspur in the premier league.
The Reds Number three was forced to miss the clash in the league against the London side due to a minor muscle injury issue.
Speaking to the media before the clash against Jose Mourinho side, Klopp stated that: “It was nothing really. He just felt something and we had to take him out. And now he’s out.

“It was not a challenge or whatever, it was not intense situations. It was just how things happen.”
On the other hand, Joel Matip was forced out of the match at half time at Tottenham with an ankle injury.
Speaking on Friday afternoon, Klopp said: “Last night I was after the game, especially with that [Matip injury], pretty emotional just because at half-time the boys [are] sitting there. Now, meanwhile, there are still glimpses of hope that it’s not serious.
“No, we don’t have the final result because the scan didn’t happen yet. So, we know more in three or four hours hopefully.”
Meanwhile the Reds beat Tottenham 3-1 one away from home as goals from Firmino, Arnold and Mane secured the win for Klopp’s men.
Liverpool now occupy the fourth position in the Premier League four points behind league leaders who have a game at hand.
