What next for Augustine Eguavoen after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the World cup in Qatar?
The Nigerian Super Eagles have failed to make it to the world cup in Qatar after they Eguavoen men were unbale to beat the Black Stars of Ghana.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria were unbale to find the back of the net against Ghana at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi Ghana.
It was as if it was a good sign for them to keep the Ghanian teams as many believed justice will be done when they visit Nigeria.
But it was the other way round when Thomas Partey found the back of the net first against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Shortly after the opener Lookman dazzled and make and important impact in the game to win Eguavoen’s men a penalty which was converted by the captain Troost-Ekong.
It was just like a positive sign when Victor Osimhen scored but ruled out for an offside by the VAR.
Many thought it was a sign that the Super Eagles will defiantly get a win with lots of pressure coming in from their side.
The first half ended with so many positive mindsets that the team will pounce on the Ghanian team in the second half of the game.
Pressure was coming in from left and right before Eguavoen made a substitution which killed that game.
Moses Simon came in for Ademola Lookman and then thing became absurd as the pressure reduced.
It was then I knew the chances of scoring and securing a victory in that match was as slim as anything.
It was as if I have seen it all in the game before Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa came on in the match to produce nothing.
In the last 20 minutes of the game they play like they had the winning advantage in the game.
The players are not to be blame when there was no correct tactical approach to the game at first.
We all saw it at the AFCON when we met a brilliant Tunisia side at the knockout stage of the tournament.
We got kicked out just as if we really know don’t know what we came to the tournament to do.
After that absurd performance the NFF left him Eguavoen to still take charge of the team despite knowing he doesn’t have that experience.
It was actually a blessing in disguise as the team would have been another disgrace at the World Cup competition.
Eguavoen should just resign respectfully and a decent manager with a tactical mindset should be given the job.
Eguavoen shouldn’t even be among the technical team of the Super Eagles because he has nothing to offer the team.
The whole country is disappointed with the display, performance and the attitude of the Super Eagles which was headed by Augustine Eguavoen.
