The World cup qualifier semifinal between Scotland and Ukraine is set to hold while winner will face Wales.

The delayed World cup qualifier semifinal match between Scotland and Ukraine will take place on June 2 while the winner will face Wales on June 5.

The match was delayed due to Russia invasion of Ukraine as the fixture is set to take place as it was rescheduled.

According to Skysports the fixture on June 1 will take place at Hampden Park, while the Wales’ World Cup play-off final will be held at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Following the postponements, Scotland pledged to play the loser of the Wales-Austria game in a friendly on March 29. Steve Clarke’s side drew 2-2 in Vienna.

Russia were due to take part in the World Cup play-offs but were thrown out of the tournament as a sanction for its actions in Ukraine.

That handed Poland a bye into the path B final, in which they saw off Sweden to secure their place in the World Cup in Qatar this winter.
