Carlo Ancelotti reveal Real Madrid next objective after they extended La Liga lead by 17 points.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says the next objective for his club is now the Champions League semifinal following their victory over Osasuna in the La Liga.
The La Liga leaders lead the league table with 17 points though Barcelona has 2 games at hand to play.
Real Madrid defeated Osasuna 3-1 in the La Liga to extend their points on the League table.
Ancelotti has now stated that their next aim is the Champions League semi final against Premier League leaders Manchester City.
“They all did what was asked of them and I’m really pleased with the performance. I’m not thinking about when we can win the league. Our next objective is the Champions League semi-final and we have to make sure we properly prepare for it, whatever happens. After the Manchester City game, we’ll analyse what has happened in these games”.
“Were focused on preparing well for the Champions League semi-final and then we’ll see what happens and if we need to beat Espanyol. We’re only focused on the Champions League and we’re in good form.
“We’re feeling good, motivated and everyone’s committed. Ceballos had a great game today and he was right: he deserved more minutes”.
Real Madrid will travel to Etihad for the first leg of their Champions League semifinal with the return leg at the Bernabeu.
