Harry Maguire and his family received threat following following Manchester United defeat to Liverpool as he insists he won’t be forced out of the club.
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire claims he will not be forced out of the Old Trafford club despite bomb threat at his home following a scary email.
The 29 years Old who lived with his fiancée and two young children has received a serious threat to his family and home.
A spokesman for the England international says that he has received a serious threat in the last 24 hours.
He added that United captain’s family is his priority but claims he will continue the preparation for the weekend’s fixture.
“In the last 24 hours, Harry has received a serious threat to his family home”, the Spokesman said.
“The safety of his family and those around him is obviously Harry’s number one priority. He will continue to prepare for this weekend’s fixture as normal.”
Sniffer dogs conducted a search of the property, with Cheshire police saying: “No evacuations took place, but as a precautionary measure a police explosives dog attended the address this afternoon to conduct a search of the gardens and surrounding area. No suspicious items were found.”
Harry Maguire has come under repeated criticism this season for poor performance for the club.
The recent call out was after United’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday.
Sportscliffs understands that the threat was done by a fan who do not want Maguire in the team.
A Source said: “Harry will not be forced out of Manchester United by this kind of threat.
“His number one priority will always be the safety of his family but he’s also got the strength of character to deal with this. It looks like the work of some cowardly fan.
“If that proves to be the case, they are an utter disgrace to the name of this proud football club.”
