Mohamed Salah future at Liverpool still not certain as contract talk not going as planned, the Egytian says not everything is about money.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah insists he is not certain if he will extend his contract with the Premier League club.

Salah has grown to become one of the best players in football since joining the Reds from Italian team Roma 5 years ago.

The Egyptian has then been an important player for Jurgen Klopp side, winning team and individual awards.

However, there is doubt on whether the former Chelsea player will extend his contract at the club as he insists everything is not all about money.

“I don’t know, I have one year left,” Salah said.

“I think the fans know what I want, but in the contract it’s not everything about the money at all. So I don’t know, I can’t tell you exactly. I have one year left and the fans know what I want.”

Regardless of the timing of his departure from Liverpool, the two-time African Player of the Year admitted leaving Anfield will not be easy.

“To play in that atmosphere and to see the fans always behind me […] I have banners in the stadium […] and they’re always singing my song,” he added.

“It’s going to be a really sad moment.”

While he admitted his future at Liverpool remained uncertain, Salah was also clear he wanted to remain at the club for as long as possible and help the Reds win more silverware.

“This club means a lot to me – I’ve enjoyed my football here more than anywhere, I gave the club everything and everybody saw that,” he continued.

“I’ve had a lot of unbelievable moments here, winning trophies, individual goals, individual trophies. It’s like a family here.”
