Samad Kadri rejoins Kwara United ahead of new season

Samad Kadri has moved back to his former club Kwara United ahead of the new season after he moved to Al-Ahed  Football club last season

Kwara United striker Samad Kadri has rejoined the club ahead of the 2022/23 Nigerian Professional Football League season.

The striker, who moved last season to for Al-Ahed Football Club of Beruit, Lebanon, from where he decided to come back to Kwara United.

According to a tweet from the Official twitter page of Kwara United which stated that the club his medical in Ilorin.

“Former Kwara United striker, Samad Kadri has rejoined ahead of #NPFL23 Season. He completed his medical in Ilorin on Thursday, as well as other registration requirements for the League. He is the Club’s highest goal scorer last season, scoring crucial goals in crucial moments”, the tweet read.

The striker will resume fully with the club after the two weeks break being observed by the Premier League Clubs.

Reacting to the development, the Club Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye said that the team re-absorbed the striker because of his quality, capacity and capabilities, which he has continued to display.

Samad was Kwara United Football Club’s highest goal scorer last season, especially scoring crucial goals in crucial moments for Kwara United.

Kumbi said that his return is equally timely, especially against the backdrop of the departure of Wasiu Jimoh, who made a ha huge impact for Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup competition, scoring four goals in four matches.
