Tennis sensation Emma Raducanu is set to stage her long-awaited return to the court, confirming her comeback at the Auckland Open in January following an extensive period battling injury woes.
After an eight-month absence from competitive tennis, Emma Raducanu is poised to make a triumphant return at the Auckland Open. The 2021 US Open champion underwent surgery in May to address multiple injury concerns, including issues with both hands and an ankle injury, sidelining her since April.
Raducanu’s dedicated rehabilitation appears to have paid off as she receives a wildcard entry for the WTA 250 event in New Zealand, scheduled from January 1-7. Her comeback marks a pivotal moment as she aims to overcome her injury setbacks and regain her form on the court.
Looking ahead, the 21-year-old’s journey back into the circuit hinges on her performance in Auckland and potentially securing a spot in the upcoming 2024 Australian Open.
