Jurgen Klopp is resolute in his decision to leave the club, expressing conviction that parting ways is the right move.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has declared that he is “convinced” leaving the club is the right decision and harbors “no regrets” about his departure at the end of the season.

Klopp, 56, acknowledged the finite nature of his resources as his team contends for four trophies this campaign.

“After 24 years in this job, with the career I’ve had, it’s almost impossible to replicate my journey from the beginning to Liverpool. I’ve always invested everything I had,” Klopp remarked.

“I realized my resources are not endless, and I prefer to give my all this season and then take a break. We’re not young rabbits anymore, and we don’t jump as high.”

Despite Klopp’s announcement, his current contract, signed in April 2022 and set to run until 2026, raises eyebrows.

The manager, who took the helm in 2015, pointed to a challenging previous season and a demanding summer of rebuilding as factors influencing his decision.

“I can’t do it on three wheels; I don’t want to be a passenger. My managerial skills are based on energy and relationships,” Klopp explained. “I am who I am and where I am because of how I am. I cannot be that anymore.”

The players, Klopp noted, responded with professionalism, maintaining focus on the upcoming challenges.

Klopp emphasized the strength of the bond with the team and expressed confidence that the “fight” will endure for the remainder of the season.
