Arteta says his players have the confidence after back-to-back win in the Premier League.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says his side is full of confidence after the back-to-back win in the premier league against Chelsea and Brighton having been under pressure in the past weeks.
The Gunners boss says though they have to improve and have a much longer winning run and didn’t hold back by saying they have a lot of things to put in place to get the result needed.
Arteta said “We needed those results, that’s for sure, but we need a much longer run than that. There are things we have done much better to get the results in the last two games, but there are things that still we have to do better and improve.”
“Confidence-wise it is a completely different scenario when you are winning football matches, everybody plays with more freedom, more belief, the pressure gets released a little bit and that is always a positive thing towards performances.”
The Spaniard further stated that he will have to assess his team that will face West Brom after most of his players are through with COVID-19 regulation.
“We will see today, some players had to come in yesterday to get assessed after the game, we had a couple of knocks.”
“Then we had players that have been through all the Covid regulations with different individuals which I think we will recover for the game against West Brom, but it will be between today and tomorrow to see who is available, who is fit and how everybody is feeling”
Arsenal currently seat in 13th position of the League table and will face West Brom which is currently in the regulation zone and Arteta will want to keep on the winning run.
