Carlo Ancelotti has called on his Everton side to maintain the energy that created back to back win against Chelsea and Leicester ahead of Arsenal’s meeting at Goodison this weekend.

Ancelotti believes that are in good position compared to when he arrived and also insist they need up to six months to reach their target in the European position.

“The top of the table is really compressed. We don’t want to look too far. At this moment we have an important game against Arsenal, who are a strong team, and we prepare to do our best. Our momentum is good and we want to keep this”.

Everton’s Manager gave updates on his player ahead of the clash against Arteta’s side and he said star man James Rodriguez will not be available for selection and has been sidelined with calf injury.

He also stated that Fabian Delph will miss the game against Arsenal with a hamstring and Lucas Digne remains out with an ankle ligament problem.

“Allan had a problem on his hamstring and we don’t know [exactly] how many games he will be out for,” said Ancelotti.

“But for the games in this period, he is not going to play.

“Seamus Coleman is available.

“Seamus has a strong desire to play. He is a fantastic captain for us and it is really important he is back.

“James is not ready yet. I think it is too soon to put him at risk.

“He is working and I hope he can be ready for the game against United.

“Fabian Delph is doing individual treatment. It is too soon to talk about how long it will be before he comes back.”
