Arteta aiming for the Premier League title
Mikel Arteta have stated that Arsenal are in for the title chalenge following their win over Brentford in the Premier league.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta claims his side are aiming be crown the Premier League champions following their victory against Brentford.
The Gunners visited, dominated and won the game away from home against a strong Brentford side as goals Saliba, Gabriel and Vieira was enough to claim the three points.
After they dropped to second position following Manchester City win against Wolves on Saturday the Gunners reclaim the first position after their comfortable win against the bees.
When asked if they are in the title race Arteta said: “You can ask me every day. Today we are top of the league, I am so happy, yesterday I was annoyed because we lost it and we used that today as we want to get back there and show that we want to be there and that’s what we’re going to do.
“Push to be the best that we can be and that’s the aim and then the table won’t lie after 38 games.”
Arsenal suffered defeat away against Brentford last season but when comparing the game to that of last season Arteta said: “It’s true that we replaced players with different players as well, we have to be honest with that and what a lot of people described as a bad day, as an embarrassing day, I looked at it as a character-building day and if you want to become a different team, you have to learn from those moments, to go through those moments and then days like today happen.
“Everybody is really happy in that dressing room, it feels with the way we play that we are enjoying our football and it’s another step.”
