Boehly blamed for Chelsea’s set back as Potter face trouble
Todd Boehly has been criticized for the current set back of Chelsea after the Blues dropped points against bottom side in the Premier League.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has been blamed for the Blues set back this season after he took over the club from former owner Roman Abramovic.
The American business man took over the club this season after Roman Abramovic was ban due to Russian invasion on Ukraine.
Boehly sacked former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel after few bad games when he took over and employed Graham Potter.
The problem which was expected to be solved kept pilling up as the Blues savage less points out of possible 21 points recently.
The American has been blamed for the decision to sack the German manager so early and believed Potter has less experience.
Boehly has also failed to employ the a sporting director who will manage the affairs of signing of players as he took the responsiblity himself.
Chelsea dropped points again in the Premier league last night following their 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.
Chelsea manager Graham Potter has been called out by the fans and want him to be sacked after continious bad performance in the league.
Graham Potter took over from Tuchel think he would make a better change to the team like he has done in Brighton but the Blues performance keep diminishing.
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta also reacted to the performance of the team against the bottom side team.
“We are disappointed, of course, that is not the way we wanted to start the new year,” said the Blues skipper.
“I think in the first half we had a bit more control of the game but maybe we were not that dangerous to score the second goal, which could have made it easier for us in the second half.
“Even though I think we had a couple of transitions in the second half since the beginning, they were putting more pressure on us and we were not able to escape, playing out or even playing long.
“When a team is losing you expect a reaction and we were not able to find the space or attack the right space to calm down the reaction we expected from them. As well, they were playing at home, so when you are 1-0 up you expect that they will react and we were not able to manage that kind of situation.
“They created a few chances and then a set-piece lost us two points. It is disappointing to concede a goal after three touches in the box. That’s really clear and these are the areas where we cannot let teams score.”
