Chelsea will begin their Champions League campaign with a trip to Croatia as the Blues will face Dinamo Zagreb.

The Premier League side Chelsea will travel to Croatia to take their first test of this season’s champions League.

The Blues have their ups and down in the Premier League but rounded up weekend games with a comeback win against West Ham United.

Chelsea have not been doing great in the Premier League has they have conceded 9 goals in the English competition.

Chelsea have failed also in attack as his attackers are not clinical in front of goal and this is a red flag in the Champions League.

Dinamo Zagreb are seen to be the smallest team of the group, potentially because they have needed to advance past Shkupi, Ludogorets Razgrad and Bodo/Glimt to reach the group stages for the first time since 2019-20

Meanwhile Dinamo Zagreb has been doing incredibly well in the Croatian league winning 4 games from 5.

Team News

Tuchel may decide to drop number one goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and handing a first start of the season to second-choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Jorginho will come back into the centre of midfield, while the German might also give Mateo Kovacic an opportunity to start against his former club.

Ben Chilwell has put himself in line to feature ahead of Marc Cucurella following his incredible performance against West Ham, with Mason Mount and Havertz also in line for recalls after their substitute outing in the weekend fixture.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is unlikely to be risked while he adjusts to wearing a mask to protect his broken jaw.

As well as having an extra day of recovery ahead of this game, Cacic also lined up with a side against Rijeka which featured several different players to the crucial win over Bodo/Glimt.

However, Cacic could revert back to the team which started against the Norwegian outfit, eventually defeating them by a 4-1 scoreline after extra time.

Mislav Orsic has again been an incredible player this season, already scoring eight goals in Croatia’s top flight and the Champions League qualifying rounds.
