Manchester United shot stopper David De Gea admit they need to win games like this if they want to win the Premier League.
Manchester United lost to Aston Villa in the Premier League at Old Trafford few days after they crashed out of league cup.
The Spaniard spoke with the media after a disappointing result in the early kick off of the Premier League.
“It’s a very disappointing day for us,” De Gea told club media.
“I think there’s no excuses today. We play at home, with confidence. If we want to win big trophies like the Premier League, [we need to win] these types of games.”
David De Gea was at his best pulling out great saves before Villa got a late goal in the game.
“Yeah, I tried to make saves, always help the team,” he said.
“Big saves but at the end we concede from a set-piece and I saw the replay again and probably it’s offside.
“He was very close to me. Again, that happens. I don’t know, it’s a disappointing result and a hard one to take. Now we have to be ready for the next one.”
