Manchester United legend Gary Neville has criticized Marcus Rashford and Casemiro for traveling to the United States during the international break, questioning their professionalism amid the club’s poor form.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has raised concerns over the professionalism of Marcus Rashford and Casemiro following their trips to the United States during the recent international break.

Rashford was spotted attending an NBA game, while Casemiro visited Disney World, decisions Neville believes were poorly timed given Manchester United’s struggles this season. Speaking on the latest episode of the *Stick to Football* podcast, Neville acknowledged the importance of mental breaks but questioned whether the players’ choices were in line with their professional responsibilities.

“The professionalism, looking after your body, and making sure you’re best prepared for the next training session is critical to every decision you make during the season,” Neville said.

He specifically highlighted concerns about travel logistics and their impact on player readiness. “If you’ve got a four-day break, Portland is a 12-hour flight and an eight-hour time difference. Your jet lag is bad, and you feel rough,” he explained.

While Neville admitted he wasn’t overly critical of the trips, he suggested that players should take the club’s current situation into account. “You’re playing badly, the team are losing, you’re 13th in the league, and there is a new manager coming in. Would you choose that trip as a break to recharge your batteries? That’s not a recharging trip.”

Casemiro, drew particular scrutiny from Neville, who argued that at his age and with his experience, the midfielder should prioritize his fitness and recovery. “If he was away with Brazil for 10 days, we’d say he would struggle this weekend because he’s been away,” Neville said, emphasizing the impact of travel on performance.

Manchester United currently sit in 13th place in the Premier League after an underwhelming start to the season. Neville’s comments come as the team faces mounting pressure to turn their campaign around under Erik ten Hag.
