Pep Guardiola has verified that the Belgian midfielder is dealing with a significant injury. This could potentially keep the key City player out of action for several months. The club is currently deliberating whether the 32-year-old should undergo surgical intervention.
“Kevin De Bruyne’s injury is serious one,” said Guardiola. “He will be out for a few months.
“We have to decide in the next days on surgery, but for sure we lose Kevin for some time.”
De Bruyne appeared to injure his hamstring again during City’s Premier League opener against Burnley on Friday.
Its the same problem that ruled De Bruyne out of last season’s Champions League final and the majority of the club’s pre-season campaign.
