Inter Milan keen on progressing Champions League
Inter Milan fought hard to against Barcelona in the Champions League game to boost their chance of qualifying for the round of 16.
Inter Milan are keen on qualifying for the round of 16 in the Champions League following their intense game against Barcelona at Camp Nou.
Inter Milan gave Xavi Hernandez tough game last night and almost got a win but late minute goal from Lewandowski made the game end in 3-3 draw.
Following the intense game in Spain Inter Milan players admits that the game was not an easy one but they are motivated.
“We knew that we had the required spirit to be able to inflict damage on a team like Barcelona in a stadium like this” Robin Gosens said.
“It wasn’t easy, but we played as a real team that wanted to stay in the game, dig in together and display enormous spirit. Only by doing these things can you produce these types of performances.
“We gave everything and are very happy. I’m fortunate; taking to the Camp Nou pitch and scoring a goal like that is a unique feeling. I’m delighted because I was able to help the team. This match needs to motivate us; it’ll give us something extra. Now, we need to push on and display the quality that was on show this evening”.
Inter Milan goalkeeper believes the win is an important one as he insists they need to carry on with the mentality.
“It’s not a win, but it’s an important point for us. We were able to dig in together and were united” Andrè Onana said.
“We played our game, created many chances and are pleased with what we did. We need to carry on in this manner.”
Lautaro Martinez, who got an assists stated they all need to keep fighting and also hail fellow team mate for getting goal.
“We all need to fight, starting from the strikers, and today we produced an incredible performance. The goal? Goals come when you least expect it, I’ve always said this.
“ I’ve always tried to make a contribution. I also got an assist and am happy for Robin because he always works so hard in training and deserves it. ”
