Jimmy Butler on fans who think the Heat Finals run was a ‘fluke’: “I couldn’t care less what the outside thinks”
Jimmy Butler called out the fans that think the Finals run of the Miami Heat last season was a ‘fluke’.
Even though they finished fifth in the Eastern Conference, the Heat managed to reach the 2020 NBA Finals, where they lost 4-2 to the Los Angeles Lakers.
“I don’t really pay attention to the outside. They’re not in here. They don’t have Miami across their chest…. Me of all people, I couldn’t care less what the outside thinks,” Butler told reporters, via Five Reasons Sports Network.
Butler also told reporters that he and the team should be ready at the start of the 2020/21 season (December 22), despite the short offseason (71 days).
