Kendrick Perkins: “You couldn’t compare Paul George & Kawhi to LeBron & AD”
Retired NBA Champion-turned-ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins shared some of his thoughts on why the superstar duo works for the Los Angeles Lakers, but not for the Los Angeles Clippers:
Paul George is already set to make $35.4 million in 2020-21, and this new deal – worth roughly $190 million in total – will now tack on an additional four years to his contract, tying him to the Clippers through at least 2023-24 season.
George averaged 21.5 points on a career-high 41.2% shooting, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in the regular season. He averaged 18.5 points on 34.7% in the Clippers’ first-round series against the Dallas Mavericks and attributed that partly to struggles with mental health.
