Kentavious Caldwell-Pope believes it’s a good thing the Lakers are the clear championship favorite
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope opened up about the title expectations for the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
Caldwell-Pope said it’s a good thing the Lakers are already considered the clear favorite to win the championship and repeat.
“I feel like it’s going to lock us in mentally. Right now we do have that target on our backs. Everybody is trying to knock us down, and I feel like it’s going to bring us closer together and our chemistry is going to be even stronger than it was last year,” Caldwell-Pope told reporters, via Corey Hansford of Lakers Nation.
The Lakers re-signed Caldwell-Pope (three years, $39M) and made some impressive moves in free agency by signing Marc Gasol, Dennis Schroder, Montrezl Harrell and Wesley Matthews. As a result, they are in pole position to repeat.
