Chelsea midfielder felt disappointed and frustrated after his side lost 2-0 to Leicester city at the King power stadium last night.
The Blues dropped to eight position in the premier league table after the defeat and the England international admits that they were beaten by the better side.
“We were beaten by the better side,” he acknowledged.
“We know they are a very good team and coming into the game we knew how tough it would be. They set up very well and sometimes you have to put your hands up and say they were better on the night.
“They took their chances. Two goals before half-time affected us and makes it difficult when you’re coming out in the second half. When you’re clinical in front of goal you are going to win games. We had a couple but we didn’t score.
“We are disappointed we didn’t win the game. We know we are better than that. We have to have a look at ourselves, look at how we played, see where we can improve and come back stronger next game.”
Mount believes that although it is taking time for the team to gel but he is also confident that they will improve and also put an end to their form very soon.
“We are on a learning curve. Every day we need to get better, on the training ground and when we play. It takes time. We are definitely going to get there.
“We are getting to know each other more and more, and hopefully by the end of this season we will be in a good place.”
