Mikel Arteta claims he is happy with the way they play and heap praise on defender Tomiyasu for his impact in the team.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stated that he is pleased with the performance of his team against Leicester city.
Arsenal travelled down to Leicester to as they beat the Foxes 2-0 in the early kick off of the Premier League.
While speaking with media after the game Arteta stated that he is pleased with the way they play and the performance can be regarded as the best under him so far.
“I am really pleased with the way we played, the character we showed right from the beginning, to be dominant and impose the game we wanted to play.
“There were moments as well when we had to suffer, they came at us, they changed the formation and they created some issues.
“You have to dig in and there were some big individual performances to get through those moments, but then we were able to change the game and the momentum again and get control and we could have scored the third one. So I am really pleased.”
Arteta also heap praise on defender Tomiyasu for his impact in the team and stressed that he is delighted to have him.
“I am delighted to have him, first of all as a person he is such a great character.
“He is doing all the right things, top professional and I think he is giving us a lot of composure in the backline, the way he defends and understands the work that we want to do with him. So he’s been top. His adaptation to be a defender in this country, the way he’s done it, I think he deserves a lot of credit.”
