The team now rely on Ronaldo to score goals as eight of their last nine goals has been scored by the Portugal captain but Rangnick believes they have to bring fresh attackers into the team.
“Right now, we very much rely on Cristiano, he also showed a good performance when Chelsea were in possession. But there has to be a focus on bringing in a couple of new strikers for sure.”
Ronaldo show great character against Chelsea last night and he received praise from the German for his effort.
“[It was] not only the goal that he scored today, also his whole performance, his attitude. How often he helped in our own half. At the age of 37, a player like him, this is not normal to do that. He showed that today and if he plays like he did today he can still be a great help for this team.”
