Tottenham Interim coach Ryan Mason made a winning start with Tottenham after beating Southampton in the Premier League as they prepare to play in the EFL against Manchester City.

Spurs beat the Saint 2-1 as Bale and Son gave the interim manager a bright start in the league.

Ryan Replaced former manager Jose Mourinho shortly on a temporary basis due to the poor performance in the League.

Speaking to the media after the game Ryan said: “It’s a great feeling. I’m so happy, I can’t really tell you my emotions right now. I thought the performance in the second half was outstanding, the effort… the guys gave absolutely everything. We deserved to win the game, so I’m very, very happy.

“We were fully committed, brave, aggressive as well. I thought there were times in the first half where I thought we could have been better in individual duels, in 50-50s, but the guys gave everything. You could see that, you could feel that. The momentum was with us in the second half. We gained full control of the game. We created chances, the VAR decision to disallow the goal was disappointing but the guys kept going, kept believing and I felt the right team won.”

Tottenham move to 6th in the league table ahead of Liverpool who have an outstanding.

Spurs will play Manchester City in the EFL on Sunday and Ryan will try is possible best to prove himself.
