Shaw insist they didn’t create chance to earn three points.
Manchester United left back Luke Shaw says that United didn’t create chance for them to earn them all the point against Chelsea on Sunday.
United played 0-0 draw against the Blues the in the Premier league after both sides could find the back of the net.
The England international insist they needed the win in order to close the gap between League leaders Manchester City but lack of chances created gave both side a point.
“I think neither sides’ defence will have been too under pressure today. I don’t think either side created too much danger,” Shaw told media after the match.
“We needed to win today because the gap is getting bigger. We needed to build on that momentum with [Manchester] City next weekend and [Crystal] Palace in midweek. I think we missed out on two points that we desperately need.”
The left back insists that if United wants to compete for the league title they must win games like this.
“We need to win games and if we want to be challenging for the title and maybe winning it we need to win games like this. As you’ve seen, City have gone on an unbeaten run for a while and I think we look back to a couple of months ago and we said the team that do that will be the team that go on and maybe win it. They’ve done it, we haven’t and we need to learn from that.”
