William Troost Ekong will be available for Ghana’s clash says NFF media officer
NFF media officer Ayo Ibidapo claims Troost Ekong will be available for selection against Ghana after injury claim from Watford manager.
Nigeria football Federation media officer Ayo Ibidapo has stated that Super Eagles’ defender William Troost Ekong will be available for the World cup qualifier match against Ghana.
The defender was among the provisional squad released by Super Eagle yesterday but Watford manager claims the defender won’t be available to play for his country in the qualifier.
Speaking about his injured players Ismaila Sarr and Troost Ekong Hodgson said “It’s a muscle strain, the same with Troost-Ekong.
“It’s going to keep them both out of the equation for the foreseeable future, but I don’t know how long exactly.
“It’s not a minor thing, it’s not a knock, both have muscle strains, and that can take anything from a week to four weeks to recover from.”
But clearing the air about Ekong NFF media officer Ibidapo stated on his twitter page that the defender will be available and up for selection for Ghana’s clash.

Speaking about the omission of Everton player Alex Iwobi Ibidapo stated that Iwobi was omitted due to the red card he got at AFCON.
For those asking about Alex Iwobi’s exclusion from the #WCQ list vs #Ghana, he was excluded due to his red card against #Tunisia at the last Afcon. #soarsupereagles #ghanga
