Tottenham clash against Fulham has been called off.
The Premier League has called of the match between Tottenham and Fulham which was to be played later today due to the fact that Fulham requested the need for the game to be re arranged because of the high rise of COVID-19 cases.
The league said the rearrangement was made following discussion with its medical advisors, adding “the decision to postpone the game has been taken as a precaution and with the health of players and staff as the priority”.
In a Premier League says: “With low numbers of positive tests across the overwhelming majority of clubs, the Premier League continues to have full confidence in its COVID-19 protocols and being able to continue to play our fixtures as scheduled.”
“The league wishes those with COVID-19 a safe and speedy recovery and will rearrange the postponed fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham in due course.”
The match between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham becomes the second game to be called off this week in the Premier League.
Manchester City’s trip to Everton on Monday was postponed hours before kick-off due to multiple positive cases within the City camp.
