Kovacic absent as Mendy return for Chelsea.

Chelsea boss has given his update on his squad as he said Kovacic will miss the Blues next two game, while Mendy will return to the goal against West Ham.

Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel has ruled out his midfielder Mateo Kovacic and also confirm that goal keeper Edouard Mendy will return against West Ham in the Premier League.

It was reported that all players are available for selection but Kovacic remains a doubt for the Blues next two games.

On Kovacic fitness.

Tuchel while speaking with the media said that the Croatian will miss the game against his former side Real Madrid in the Champions League.

“Mateo Kovacic is still out but everybody else is available,” Chelsea boss said.

“For me personally, I think we can hope for Fulham but don’t take that as medical advice. Maybe the physios and doctors will kill me for that but I think it’s maybe possible to be back again against Fulham, which is in between the Madrid games.”

He further stated that he can hopefully come back against Fulham which is in between the Champions League game against Madrid.

On Kepa and Mendy.

He also stated that the Mendy will return to goal as it was a reward for Kepa to stay one match after the Manchester City game to fell the rhythm of playing every three days.

He had two clean sheet and he wants to have the confidence on having two good goal keepers that can be called upon at anytime.
