Antony, omitted from Rúben Amorim’s preseason squad and training separately at Carrington, expressed relief and gratitude during his Tuesday presentation. “Only my family knows how hard it was to be there… Training separately. His struggles at United contrasted with the warmth he found in Seville. “What a difference! Seville is more beautiful than Manchester,” Antony remarked. “I spent over 40 days in a hotel; it was very hard, but everyone knew I wanted to return to Betis… I had trouble sleeping after seeing so much love from the fans.” Betis fans greeted him at 2 a.m., underscoring the affection that swayed his decision. “Being cared about is very important… It was always my first choice,” he added, eager to achieve more in a city and club he loves.
