Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has hit out at the media for compiling stories that are not genuine on his transfer issues.

The Portuguese captain has now stated that he will reveal the truth about his transfer issue in coming weeks.

There have been series of reports that Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United for a club that can offer Champions League football.

In a post on Instagram, it was suggested by journalist Edu Aguirre that Atletico are in fact interested in the player, but a move is unlikely due to the reaction of supporters if their interest is made public.

Ronaldo has denied that claim with a frank comment that suggested he firmly disagrees with the media’s reporting of his situation this summer.

Replying to a post on Instagram, Ronaldo’s translated comment said: “You’ll know the truth when I give an interview in a few weeks.

“The media only tells lies.

“I have a book of notes and in the last few months out of 100 news stories they only got five right, imagine how things are.

“Here’s a tip for you.”

Ronaldo missed crucial part of Manchester United preseason games but feature in a 45 minutes game of the 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano.

The Portuguese star also came from the bench to feature in the 2-1 defeat against Brighton in their opening game at Old Trafford.

The 37-year-old led the line against Brentford in their second game which they suffered huge 4-0 defeat away from home.
