DeMarcus Cousins on coming off the bench for the Rockets: “If my name is called to be a sixth man coming off the bench, I’ll do my job”
DeMarcus Cousins shared his thoughts on his role with the Houston Rockets this season.
Cousins, who last played during the 2019 NBA Finals, is expected to come off the bench as the backup center of the team.
“I’m here to help C Wood get better every single day. He’s been a sponge since he stepped into the building, and you can’t ask for anything more coming from a young player.
If my name is called to be a sixth man coming off the bench, I’ll do my job. My concern is making sure everybody in this locker room is together, coming in ready to work every single day,” Cousins said, via Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
Cousins agreed to an one-year, $2.4M contract with the Rockets.
