Jurgen Klopp claims the everything was different against Ajax in the Champions League compare to Napoli’s game.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claims they had a better game against Dutch side Ajax in the Champions League after their victory last night.

The Reds defeated Ajax 2-1 at the Anfield stadium to get their first three points in the group stage.

Liverpool forward Salah scored first in the first half of the game to give the Reds the lead before Kudus equalized for the Dutch to end draw at halt time.

After some much of chance wasted Liverpool defender Matip took the responsibility and score for the Reds to get the victory in the late minute of the second half.

Speaking with the media Liverpool manager Klopp stated that the game against Ajax was different from their first match against Napoli.

He added that every of the players did their job very well, from defending to the aggression shown on the pitch.

I think if you put the two games, Napoli and tonight, next to each other you don’t recognise probably that it’s the same sport”, Klopp said. “So, wholly different – the start was different, the middle was different, finish was different.

“The football we played, the way we defended, everything was different. Much higher intensity, much more aggression, braver, more ready. How I said, everything was better. It was a first step, nothing else, not more, but everything was good.

He added that his team reacted very well after their first match as no one was carried away on the pitch.

“It is the most important thing. Nobody gets carried away tonight, it’s not that the boys sit in the dressing room and cannot get their arms down.

“So, it’s more relief; we showed us and the outside world we understood, we reacted. The boys really reacted, I liked that a lot. It was a super-intense game.”
