Barcelona need three points against Inter Milan to boost their chance of qualifying; Pedri sees it as a final.

Barcelona midfielder Pedri claims the Champions League game they have against Italian side Inter Milan is a do or die affair.

The Spanish side, who are currently in the third position of their group needs a win to boost their chance of qualifying.

Barcelona will host the Italian side in the reverse fixture at the Camp Nou following their 1-0 defeat at San Siro.

Speaking ahead of the Champions League match Pedri said: “We have to improve a lot of things but the game against Inter is a final, we are calm because we know we have the quality to do it.”

Pedri believes the fans have an important role to play when the team play in camp Nou “I don’t doubt for a minute they will be there to support us and we will move forward together.”

Asked about the team’s lack of goals at the moment, the midfielder did not hesitate with his answer: “I am sure the team will start scoring. We have a striker that we all know has the qualities to score goals and we will try to help him. Xavi asks us to get in the box more and we are working on it.”

The Teenager added what for him will be key on Wednesday against the Italians: “It would be ideal to score early, to wear them out and take advantage of the chances that come our way.”

In a separate interview Padri spoke on his experience so far in football stating that: “Whenever I had a ball I always tried to play football on the field or against the wall at home, trying to turn as quickly as possible.” Pedri jokes, “One day I worked at my parents’ bar and I realised it was very tough.”

“A lot of the time I play on instinct,” reveals Pedri. The midfielder remembers his first goal in the Champions League, scored against Turkish side Galatasaray: “It’s a really nice memory – I knew there were two players on the goal line. I don’t always dare to shoot but this time I knew I would.”
