Rangnick aware of Tottenham’s threat
Ralf Rangnick has stated that they are aware of the threat Tottenham possess and they will not give them the chance in the upcoming game.
Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has stated that his team is aware of the threat Tottenham Hotspur possesses.
Manchester United will host Antonio Conte’s spurs in the Premier League as both teams seek to get into the top four.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the match at Old Trafford Rangnick believes that Spurs back three are compact.
He added that the team is one of the best in transitional moment and says they need to be aware of it and not give them the chance in the game.
“[They play] with a back three and it is a very compact shape,” began Ralf, in the second part of his Friday media briefing.
“They are probably one of the best teams in transitional moments with Heung Min-Son and Harry Kane.
“This is what we have to be aware of and prepared for, to not give them those transitional moments. But at the same time they also lost against teams like Middlesbrough, Wolves and Burnley.
“It’s not a team who, if we play at the best possible level, it’s not impossible to beat them. In all respect if Middlesbrough, Burnley and Wolverhampton can beat them, we can also beat them in our own stadium and this is what we have to do, this is our job tomorrow.”
When asked in his press conference about the competition between Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the German said: “Diogo [Dalot] has been training well this week and we have almost two players, two opponents for each position, two players who can play in that position.
“With us having a couple of games coming up, one tomorrow and one on Tuesday of course it is an option to play with Diogo in one of those games.”
