Solskjaer dismisses question over Sancho’s form.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer dismisses question over the form of his new winger Jadon Sancho.
Sancho have been struggling in the Premier League since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund this season.
The former Dortmund player scored 16 goals and 20 assist in all competition for the German side last season.
Sancho is yet to put the ball in the net nor assist a single player in his team this season.
Solskjaer was asked about Sancho when after the England manager said the United winger does not deserve a call up.
“Was that interview done before Wednesday night?” he said when Southgate’s comments, made on Thursday afternoon, were put to him.
“Jadon was exceptional, he was electric. The crowd loved him and I think he felt that connection.
“He was direct, positive, he went past the full-back numerous times. Yes, he’s not scored yet but I thought, ‘that’s Jadon and we’re going to see lots of that’.
“Gareth has also said it’s important that Jadon knows (England) believe in him and are invested in him.”
