Klopp: Manchester City’s clash not title decider
Jurgen Klopp insists Manchester City’s clash will not decide the Premier League title as there are still tough games to play.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists the clash between the Reds and the League leaders Manchester City is not a title decider.
Manchester City will host Liverpool at the Etihad stadium this weekend as the two teams continues the race for the Premier League title.
Liverpool are a point behind Manchester City after they closed a huge points gap between them and City.
Klopp while speaking ahead of the clash against City stated that the game will not decide who will win the League.
The German insists they have lots of match to play in the Premier League and also in other competition.
The Reds will also face Manchester United who is struggling to make it into the top, meanwhile Klopp side will also face Everton who are struggling to leave danger zone at the bottom of the table.
With the upcoming fixtures combined for the Reds Klopp believes even if the do win the game against City it will still not decide the title yet.
“If you win against City, which is already difficult enough, I think nobody would think, ‘OK, that’s it decided’ because of the quality of the opponent,” Klopp told reporters.
“Everybody knows about the importance of the next game, but after this game there will be other games in other competitions but in the Premier League as well.”
Meanwhile, defeated Portuguese side Benfica 3-1 in the Champions League which give them an advantage for the return leg of the tie.
